Sensys MagWalk Radiometer is a one (1) person portable magnetic gradiometer survey kit used to detect magnetic anomalies associated with sensitive archaeological resources. The MagWalk is an ultra- lightweight portable magnetic gradiometer survey kit that can be carried by one (1) person by holding it transversely, longitudinally, or upright aside the body.

Waiver Rationale Summary

This waiver is requested to procure a replacement product( GeoScan Research’s RM-85/FAB-1 Fluxgate Magnetic Gradiometer), which is no longer operable or commercially available. Additionally, GeoScan is no longer in business making repairs and obtaining replacement parts impossible. NRCS Michigan evaluated their needs in consideration of their mission environment and evolving technology and established the technical specifications required to ensure mission success in an efficient and precise manner.
