The National Institutes of Health (NIH), National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases (NIAID) conducts and supports basic and applied research to better understand, treat, and ultimately prevent infectious, immunologic, and allergic diseases. Within the NIAID, the Laboratory of Immunogenetics (LIG) focuses on the cellular and molecular mechanisms that underlie the signaling functions of immune cells. This work encompasses a wide spectrum of experimental approaches from the structural determination of immune receptors to live-cell image analysis of the behavior of chemotactic receptors. Within the LIG, the Antibody Biology Unit (ABU) aims to study antibody responses to infectious pathogens at the monoclonal level. Our two major goals are to study the antibody responses to vaccination and infection at high resolution, and to investigate the use of monoclonal antibodies for prevention of infection or as tools for vaccine design. The LIG/ABU is seeking two stackable floor mount incubator shakers with carbon dioxide and humidity control are vital pieces of equipment required for non-yeast cell cultures and one additional benchtop shaking incubator that is essential to provide the optimal environment to culture yeast cells and accommodate the expanded yeast-based experimental volume being performed. Both cell culture and yeast-specific cell culture is necessary to identify and isolate monoclonal antibodies against COVID-19. The current requirements are as follows: 1.
