The Horizontal Injection molding machine was posted to System for Award Management (SAM) as a full and open solicitation (N6893624Q005). The winning company is B&E ELECTRONIX, LLC. B&E ELECTRONIX, LLC has told the Government that this machine is completely manufactured in China. The only quote for a domestic product was 162,000. This quote was also not technically acceptable. When we applied the 50% evaluation factor from DFARS, the American made item was still more expensive.
