The NINDS Cryo-EM Core Facility provides state-of-art technology to study the structural biology to answer the molecular level of biological questions. This facility requires a quantity of one (1) Thermo Fisher Scientific Falcon 4i Direct Electron Detector or equal, which will allow NINDS researchers and scientists to conduct its research by collecting more micrographs in the unit time for higher detective quantum efficiency (DQE), efficient lossless data compression, shorter exposure time and faster scanning rate that further optimize productivity for 200 kV and 300 kV cryoelectron microscopy (cryo-EM).
