Procurement Summary
The Department of the Interior, Bureau of Reclamation (DOI, BOR), has a requirement for Foremost 1200' (60 pieces) of 4-1/2” connector tube pipe (CTP) drill pipe with CSR threads, in 20-foot lengths with 60 connector tubes. The drill pipe is part of the dual rotary drill rig capable of rotating and advancing the well casing and drill stem clockwise or counterclockwise at the same time and independent of each other. In the long term, not having the drill pipe runs the risk of well failures that Reclamation cannot address. Reclamation has approximately 125 production wells and over 600 monitoring wells that have a life expectancy of about 20 years, with many of the wells needing to be redrilled. The inability to relocate or produce more wells when required, reduces the amount of groundwater pumped which may then result in more water being drawn from Lake Mead thus jeopardizing the Governments Treaty requirements with Mexico.
