Procurement Summary

The Physical Measurement Laboratory, Sensor Science Division (SSD), Temperature and Humidity Group requires the purchase of a spectroradiometer to meet the SSD’s need of one standard spectroradiometer. This purchase is for the project with the Air Force Primary Standards Laboratory as described in the interagency agreement in the contract file. The unit will be used in a military laboratory at 20 deg. C, 20 – 80 %RH to perform critical calibration of spectroradiometric measures with long-term stability of < 1 % over its entire spectral range. The instrument should be stable enough to meet these and the below requirements such that it can be used as a transfer standard for NIST calibrations.

Consistent with market research results, no domestic product has been identified that can meet the Government's requirements. The required CCD Array Spectroradiometer is not mined, produced, or manufactured in the United States in sufficient and reasonably available commercial quantities, of satisfactory quality.
