Waiver Rationale Summary

Only Neuropixels probes are capable of meeting the salient characteristics and compatibility requirements of this procurement. Extensive investments have been made to date in the Sensapex acute recording system and IMEC OneBox acquisition system and no other probes are known capable of interfacing with this existing equipment to allow for continued research and data of the same quality available today.
