Procurement Summary
The NIST Physical Measurement Laboratory, Sensor Science Division (SSD) requires two dual-sensor spectroradiometers in order to develop new transfer-standard spectroradiometers for disseminating the spectral irradiance scale realized at Synchrotron Ultraviolet Radiation Facility (SURF) transferred to deuterium lamps. These spectroradiometers are required to have dual sensors, one for its spectroradiometer and the other for its broadband radiometer.
Waiver Rationale Summary
Consistent with market research results, no domestic product has been identified that can meet the Government's requirements. The required Dual-Sensor Spectroradiometer is not mined, produced, or manufactured in the United States in sufficient and reasonably available commercial quantities, of satisfactory quality.
