Phenospex MicroScan F600 Imaging System

Waiver Rationale Summary

We require an imaging system that combines the ability to 1.) generate sub-millimeter three dimensional models of live plants without the need for computational pipeline development 2.) collect multispectral (RGB+NIR) data overlayed onto a three-dimensional model without the need for computational pipeline development and 3.) collect multispectral data from live plants regardless of lighting conditions and 4.) automatically calculate plant parameters including but not limited to Normalized Difference Vegetation Index and Plant Senescence Reflectance Index and 5.) exist as a portable system that can be used in the field, greenhouse, and laboratory. Phenospex is the sole manufacturer and seller of the Phenospex MicroScan (including PlantEye F600) imaging system, which is the only product in the marketplace that meets the above minimum requirements.
